- If your Driver License / State ID is current or within thirty (30) days of having expired then you just need to bring your old Driver License / State ID in with you in order to renew.
- If you do not have your old Driver License / State ID then you can still come into renew.
I need to replace my Driver License / State ID, what do I need to bring to the Jefferson Title?
- If your Driver License / State ID is current or within thirty (30) days of having expired then you do not have to bring anything in with you in order to replace your Driver License / State ID. Keep in mind you are only allowed a certain number of replacements between renewals.
I lost my Driver License / State ID, what do I need to bring to the Jefferson Title?

My Driver License / State ID is expired by more than 30 days, can I still get it renewed?
- If your Driver License / State ID is expired by more than thirty (30) days, you are required to bring a state issued certified birth certificate with you in order to complete your renewal. Nothing else is acceptable at a tag agency pursuant to Louisiana Statutes.
- If you do not have the proper birth certificate you will need to contact La. DMV to confirm alternative types of identification and you will have to present that identification to the DMV. Alternative forms of identification are not acceptable at a tag agency.
- Driver Licenses that are over three (3) years expired requires going to DMV.
